This hotel is really swell. Bracelet system for room entry and services. No need to carry cash and documents. We swam in the pool and the mediteranean this afternoon. 28 celcius. Just waiting for the restaurant to open at 7pm!! Hard for us who eat so early usually.
Went to church in the Duomo yesterday am and then toured a museum in a Medici family palace and ended up with another church visit to see where Da Vinci, Michalangelo, Galilao and Dante (among many others) were buried. Received a blessing from an Italian priest too. (Be sure to tell Aunt Helen and Uncle Frank)
On a more mundane note, we managed to pay 10 Euro (15 CDN) for a can of shaving cream and 4 Euro for a glass of coke and Gas is 1.29 Euro (@ 2$ per litre) |
